What Have You Done to Your RX Today?

Recommended Posts

@kiwimike - great stuff!!

@Kuro 078/500 - I've heard good things about the tein streets and that's a decent price.

On the negative side, my list just keeps getting longer  now I have to add that to the polybush kit, wheels, mishimoto rad, header, piano black interior bits ...

I'd sell my body at this stage but I doubt if anyone's that desperate !

Your going mad on treating the girlfriend lol, treat em mean but keep em keen I say haha

I'd be thinking along the same lines as yourself Kuro. Anyway that's for another day, she passed her NCT tonight with flying colours, a very nice example were the comments! Disc is in the post.

Looks like we're getting a good list of people together for a group buy for springs, here's the thread- PZ Replacement Springs (Genuine Eibach)

Fixed a slow puncture in the expensive rear type this afternoon.
It was a bugger to remove the cause. Photo below showing the size of the metal shard compared to the nail on my little finger.

So glad I bought a puncture repair kit and an air pump 2 years ago.

Today I finally fixed my high revs and bad idle problems, see the thread "RX8 won't rev beyond 3,100rpm in 5th and 6th gear"

Any hooo here's a little tip on how to get that damn hard rubber accordion back into the air box. Photo below as a visual aid
Just wiggle the spanner to get it on quickly and firmly.

Amused that you can tell the uality of petrol filled from the LTFT.

Ran trims of 3.odd and 4.7 for a long time at cruise. Found they shifted slightly out of 7.0, with a slight tendancy to drop the revs at idle. Thought it might've been a light vacuum leak, but couldn't pin it down becaus STFT oscillated between 0, and -7 regularly - for about 2000km or so around a service period.

Refilled at a different petrol station, and it came back to 4.7 within a few kilometres, with STFT oscillating between around -3 and +4.

Not sure if it meens anything.

Just the weird quirks of the car.
