i got rebuild kit from atkins, rotors and housings from rhd. trust me, if you wanna do the rebuild right - as in replace all hoses washers, springs, pumps, filters etc etc - throw another 2000 at it easy.. turners cross motors got around 1100 off me for bits and bobs! you may as well do it right as your doin it.. im glad ftorex convinced me anyways!

There are few rebuild kits out there Atkins being one of them..They tend to use alot of Genuine Mazda parts in their kit anyway with the exception of Apex seals and springs etc. which are thier own brand..Also not all parts you need are in the kit.. Mazda OEM parts are best.. Also like mul said dont forget to look at the other ancillaries that will need changing/upgrading..Theres a long list of stuff so i wont go into detail.. Most of our cars are 13-15 yrs old after all...

Lads, could someone put together a definitive list of parts required for a 13B rebuilt to include optional component as required? Would be a useful resource for the forum. CJ

It would be good to have a list alright... I was looking at the Pineapple Tuning site and found them very good but went comparing prices with RHDJapan and think i might just try get as much money as i can together and get all parts off them. With them you can buy a complete Gasket Kit and Complete O-ring kit, whereas with the Atkins and Pineapple Racing kit as far as i know they only give you a few gaskets and o-rings needed. I'd love to have a list to go by though.

I'm taking the advice of most and i'm saving up to get all Mazda parts for the rebuild, going to go with rhdjapan i think. What i'm looking for now though is the best place to get all the coolant hoses, i want to replace them all, and the vacuum hoses too.

Would be glad to have another rex owner come out and have a look anytime. At the moment it's out in the shed, up on axle stands. Engine pretty much ready for out. Hopefully it'll be next week i'll get the engine hoist and we'll start at takin it out. Still no rebuild kit got yet but workin nights and savin for it as we speak. Tonights me night off... :D
