Power FC Question.

Recommended Posts

So I understand that in '96 the ECU went from 8bit to 16bit. I own a '96 FD but I have a PFC and Commander for a '99+ FD (The serial # is FD3S6).

Does anybody know if it'll work on my car? I don't want to plug it in and have it break. I spent a fair amount of time trying to spot the differences on a 96 and 99 model but besides the face-lift and some mechanical bits they don't seem all that different. Unless the '99+ have a totally different wiring harness.

Anyways please share your thoughts/opinions if you can help, thanks!Mobdro https://pnrstatus.vip/ https://sarkariresult.onl/

Is your car 8 or 16 bit. From recolection the 8 and 16 bit ecu plugs are different so if the pfc plugs into your car it will be a 16 bit FD. 99 spec ecu works on earlier 16 bit Fds but it had different fans so the pfc wont trigger the fans in your car. Might be as simple as depinning the loom to the fans and rewiring. Base maps could be completely different too so will require a custom remap before driving it. Idleing should be fine
