Help Pressure in rad pipe

Recommended Posts

I was working on the car today fixing up few little bits and had the car running for about 20mins and I noticed the rad pipe it looked like it was ready to blow I turned the car off 5 mins went past and the rad pipe burst off. I took out the termosat to test it its only opening a little E4AF0FA8-A13B-4B07-98A4-05CBA4B40DAE-837-0000012D470DB379_zps8b1746f1.jpg And the rad cap is like something out of a lucky bag could this be the problem or is it something more serious like water seals :(

Re: Help Pressure in rad pipe Could just be badly air locked.. did you start the car with rad cap off ?? New thermostat is real cheap. And dont get a high pressure rad cap. If she does get hot it only forces the pressure on the water seals..
