What about having a project section to keep interesting threads together. At the moment I feel there's no real home for these type of threads. They sit in either their model subforum or the media section (which is where my thread is) and i think a project section would be better.

Opinions?

Personally id like to see more activity on the forum than on the facebook page.  Getting tired of the crap on FB and would rather a more active forum ao anything that would facilitate that is a winner in my eyes!

I think the activity on the forum is not bad considering the amount of traffic we have on it. I would curse a lot about this forum one time but I've been on other forums since then (non Rotary) and they are dry enough compared to here I must say , so I'm happy with this one. Plus all the options we will ever need, we have got them thanks to our leaders on here. haha ;)

What I would like to say is there are a few regular visitors (members) on here that don't bother to post . But these fellas are on here for years only post in the  parts for sale or to benefit themselves and do lots and lots of work on their own cars, and some have good projects going on so these guy are loaded with knowledge but will not share or encourage others on here. Apart from a few rx7 guys no other rx7 fella bothers to post.

Then there is a few rx8 fellas that only post when it suits them, and it's not like they don't have nothing to say lol.
The answer is simply, it's down to ourselves, there is enough of us here to make this forum better if we only gave more of a toss about the forum and not about our selfish selves.:(

So I don't think there is really a major worry for a project Section but the forum would benefit better from getting the message across to everyone to put yourself out there more and encourage others and share your knowledge and experience. Nobody is going to say boo to yah,  everyone is sound on here for god sake.

Just my 2 cent and if it helps one person to comment to help others with their experience Im happy.:)

Personally I think this is an excellent forum, I've got a lot help since joining and as I was totally new to rotary cars, it's greatly appreciated.

I think there is a good buzz about the forum, and if it needs to evolve with new sub forums then so be it, what harm can that be.

I love to see what other people are doing with their cars and if that helps others that's a big bonus for us all.

I used to follow the motors forum on boards but got absolutely flamed time and time again because I'm not a fan of a certain German brand. Needless to say I don't bother with it anymore.

To everyone here I would say keep up the good work, I also love the banter between a lot of the members. :D

Well said Peter could not agree more. There is a great bunch of guys on here and I have seen it quite a few times, people join here and across the pond saying how friendly the rotary forums are compared to other car forums they have been on (ME TOO).:)

I think with our cars been unique and  different it brings a better appreciation for one another on the rotary forum's.  I think there is guys on here that are awesome, super- talented but I like to see other's come out from behind the curtains a bit more and give people advice and opinions as I have no doubt they are equally as good.B)

I think above all this would benefit the forum and posters enjoy the forum more if we could encourage this.:)

We could also try and encourage Shadow Rotary, Rotordude, 20B, and other specialists to come on now and again and give a little advise and opinions to help us all.;)

I see on other forums its seems to be the norm for specialists to pop on and post which i think its good for them to voice their skills and over all will help the reputation of the rx's so that we all can keep our cars reliable as possible which can only help the reputation of the rotary:wub:

Who knows with our dedication on here we will make these cars worth serious coin someday.:D

I wouldn't mind a project section as it makes it handy to post stuff in to keep people updated. I know a few websites that have them and they are bar far the busiest section.

As for the lack of activity especially the rx7 guys there is usually loads of reasons, people can be busy. I am mad busy trying to finish college this year so even a simple wiring job on the car is taking a back seat to college, I havn't logged into fduk in a few weeks. I try to pop on here and have a quick look to see whats happening but to be honest most of the topics I have no interest in replying too. There is only so many rx8s with coils and ignition/ starter issues I can read about before I fall asleep no offense to the rx8 guys I just find rx8s kinda boring in general. I know a few of the rx7 guys on here are on tfduk too and are more active there, I think the reason for that is the numbers of 7s here is seriously low so knowledge surrounding them is very limited so any unusual or complicated problem wont get a reply on here due to this lack of knowledge. The other thing is if they have a problem they will get a reply to a thread on fduk within a day or two where as on here it could be weeks. There is a vicious circle going on if you get me. Lack of activity spurs lack of posts.

With the summer coming up I hope to get to a few meets and get more active again.

I have to admit, I am a guilty RX7 owner..... I have a quick peek on here and spend more time on other forums. But, I reckon a project section would be a fantastic idea!

As for activity with cars, I've been unable to do anything with any of mine due to sickness and lack of funds and lost interest since. However, I intend to make an effort to be more active online....I miss the brap brappage.
